GUNI hosted, along with University of Barcelona, a seminar for UNESCO Chair on CBR & SR to launch their new book on Strengthening Community University Research Partnerships globally. The seminar was moderated by Prof Frances Xavier Grau (Academic Director of GUNI).
Dr Hall highlighted the relevance of new ways of co-constructing knowledge is heightened in light of Paris attacks. He emphasised that multiple sites, modes and cultures of knowledge production need to be brought to engage with each other in order to generate solutions for pressing challenges of our times.
Dr Tandon focused on the key finding of crucial role of intermediary institutions and mechanisms between university and community as enabler of a mutually respectful partnership.
Dr John Goddard, former Pro Vice-Chancellor of New Castle University (UK), commended the findings of this pioneering global study in respect of highlighting models of internal institutional arrangements.
Prof Xavier concluded that the contributions of this study may stimulate further innovations in Catalan University system.
