Centre for Social Action (CSA) was formed by CHRIST (Deemed to be University) in 1999, with the purpose of serving as a community action service platform for students and teachers, thus encouraging them to engage in community development activities.
Celebrating its 20th Anniversary, the University organised “Anikethana” on 9th December, 2019. Dr. Rajesh Tandon, Founder- President of PRIA and Co-Chair, UNESCO Chair on Community Based Research and Social Responsibility in Higher Education was invited as the Chief Guest and a key-note speaker of the programme.
In his address, Dr. Tandon interacted with the students and faculty, discussing the principles of participatory research. He encouraged the students to engage with the real world and frame contextual research in partnership with communities. Dr. Tandon mentioned that conducting research with the communities means that there is a scope to shift the power.
