UNESCO Co-Chairs & Engage Community Steering Committee Members, Dr Budd Hall & Dr Rajesh Tandon, will be leading a talk on ‘Knowledge, Innovation and UN SDGs: The Knowledge for Change (K4C) Global Consortium’, at the ACU office in Woburn House, London on April 26, 2018 from 3 PM – 4:30 PM. Here, they will discuss the newly launched initiative K4C Global Consortium for training in Community-Based Research, grown out of 40 years working together and independently on issues of knowledge democracy, participatory research and action for social justice. K4C initiative has been informed by five years of research on current global trends in community-based partnership research within the framework of their UNESCO Chair. They will also make the case for why participatory knowledge, locally contextualised knowledge, is a critical dimension in any aspiration to achieve the UN Sustainable Development Goals. If you would like to attend this FREE event, please email ‘engage@acu.ac.uk’ to reserve your place by Tuesday 24 April.
