Dr. Budd Hall and Dr. Rajesh Tandon will deliver a talk on Knowledge For Change and talk about the role of universities in addressing UN SDGs. The talk is being hosted by the Centre for Global Studies, University of Victoria, Canada.
Dr. Tandon and Dr. Hall will share a talk and discussion on the current focus of their UNESCO Chair activity, the building of capacity in the field of community-based participatory research through the creation of the Knowledge for Change (K4C) Consortium on Training in Community-Based Participatory Research. The heart of the K4C are a growing number of ‘hubs’, partnerships between universities in the global South and the excluded North which provide opportunities for a new generation of students and community workers to learn the theory and practice of community based participatory research. Currently hubs are set up or are emerging in India, Colombia, Indonesia, Malaysia, Cuba, Victoria-Canada, Sardinia-Italy, South Africa.
