This event provided an opportunity to explore and discuss the impact of several exciting international policy initiatives related to higher education in Canada. These initiatives have surfaced within UNESCO circles over the past two years.
It brought together higher education institutions, partners, foundations, and research councils to contemplate the future of higher education in Canada, ensuring that Indigenous perspectives take center stage in the conversation. Attendees gained a comprehensive understanding of UNESCO’s priorities and how Canadian higher education institutions can contribute to Agenda 2030 and the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
