Dr Rajesh Tandon delivered the Convocation Address, titled ‘Education for Public Good’ at the Rajiv Gandhi University of Knowledge Technologies (RGUKT), on May 2, 2017. Dr Tandon graced the occasion as the chief guest and gave a stimulating speech on the ‘relevance and value of education’ to the graduating students of the university. Dr Tandon spoke on the ‘role of universities as public institutions, and their social responsibilities, value of engaged teaching, engaged research and engaged service, challenges which lay ahead for the students, and how they should prepare themselves in order to emerge as ‘ethical global citizens’.
