Dr Budd Hall had a visit with Helen Murray of the Open Society Foundation in London on 28th August’ 2014. The Open Society Foundation (OSF) was created by George Soros and it has been an important source of funding for post graduate studies and the strengthening of civil society organizations originally just with the former Eastern European countries, but now on a global scale. The discussion revolved around the preparation of country specific case studies under the International Development Research Centre’s project titled ‘Strengthening Community University Research Partnerships’.
