CUVIC 2016: Reconciliation, Innovation and Transformation through Engagement is fast approaching! The conference will take place April 27–29 at the University of Victoria (UVic) campus in Victoria, BC.
The CUVIC (Community-University-Victoria) Conference will demonstrate how UVic and the broader community are responding to the Truth and Reconciliation Commission of Canada’s Calls to Action. The conference themes will address the calls to action on the five topic areas listed above. CUVIC will also celebrate community-university engagement, a topic that is gaining international attention as universities and communities collaborate towards more sustainable, just, and healthy communities that serve the public good.
Conference highlights:
- Exciting keynote sessions and workshops led by local thought leaders on child welfare, education, health, justice, and language and culture
- Gala reception in Royal BC Museum’s First Peoples Galleries
