A consultation of UNESCO Chairs in India is being jointly organized by UNESCO India and Participatory Research in Asia. The two day consultation will be hosted from December 10th to December 11th, 2018 in New Delhi. With an expected participation by almost all 11 UNESCO Chairs in India, the consultation is going to be primarily facilitated by Mr. Eric Falt, Regional Director (UNESCO New Delhi Cluster Office) and Dr. Rajesh Tandon (Co-Director of UNESCO Chair on Community Based Research and Social Responsibility in Higher Education). The primary objectives of the consultation are:
- • To build a more informed and active network of UNESCO Chairs in India
- • To brainstorm and share ideas on the role of UNESCO Chairs in strengthening work of UNESCO.
A welcome reception is being planned on 10 December 2018 at the UNESCO House between 5:00pm – 6:30 pm. The main consultation will then be held on 11 December 2018 at 9:00 am at the offices of PRIA (Participatory Research in Asia).
