On 3rd and 4th of June 2019, Dr. Rajesh Tandon (Founder-President, PRIA and Co-Chair, UNESCO Chair in Community Based Research and Social Responsibility in Higher Education), visited Newcastle University.
During his visit, Dr. Tandon met with the team from Living Deltas Research Hub. The hub works towards finding solutions to avoid the collapse of four delta systems in South and South East Asia. The team elaborated on the work undertaken by them, reflecting that their belief lies in building partnerships with the community and the local organisations. The visit continued with the discussion on the work undertaken by the Digital Civic team, led by the Open Lab of Newcastle University.
The visit concluded with Dr. Tandon and the team from Newcastle University discussing the possibilities of future engagement, with the belief that this would prove to be mutually beneficial for both.
