Budd Hall had a visit to Access Alliance Multicultural Health and Community Services Centre in Toronto, Ontario in Central Canada. Budd exchanged ideas on knowledge democracy from the UNESCO Chair perspective and learned about their innovative and substantial work in research, training, material production and their ‘knowledge to action’ approach. AA has been a leader is the development and use of community based research in the fields of health and anti-poverty work over the past 10 years. Access Alliance is committed to proactively building capacity to do Community-based Research among marginalized groups and community agencies working with groups and students in Toronto.
