The UNESCO Chair in Community-Based Research and Social Responsibility in Higher Education is organising a DECODE webinar exploring community and Indigenous-led research focusing on climate crisis and resilience on 9th April 2025 (10.00 am - 11.30 am Malaysia Time). We will share the results from Modernizing Traditional Apong Production in Samarahan and one additional case study from Indonesia, Towards Inclusive Natural Resources Management In Indonesia (TIRAM), and hear from community scholars and members of the DECODE team.
The DECODE project is funded by the International Development Research Centre and coordinated by the UNESCO Chair in Community-Based Research and Social Responsibility in Higher Education. The project builds on knowledge democracy studies originated by Rajesh Tandon of PRIA in India and Budd Hall, Centre for Global Studies, University of Victoria. The project explores stories of where Indigenous and other communities have experienced policy or practice impact towards address the climate crisis.
